I write this letter of recommendation regarding Betty Thompson with great enthusiasm. I returned to live on the east coast after residing in Phoenix for 10 years. During that time Betty was a friend and neighbor, one who could be called upon for help at any time.
I discovered Betty was in the Organizing industry after a party in her home when I had the good fortune to meet her peers and learn about her business. She agreed to become my mentor and provided me with a solid foundation as an Organizer. Betty introduced me to clients, took me to visits, acquainted me with the National Association of Professional Organizers, and stepped me through the various classes she developed. We discussed and probed the what-ifs and she answered my questions with great patience.
Even today she continues to mentor me from afar.
And all the while I knew Betty is having a “ball.” She thoroughly enjoys teaching and watching as people absorb knowledge. She is without a doubt one of the best mentors I’ve ever had.

I have personally experienced Betty Thompson’s student mentoring skills in several settings.
I was a student in a class (“Get Your Act Together”) she taught at Phoenix College, and I took another of her organization classes (“Get Your Affairs In Order”) by telephone. For the students of both of these classes, as well as all of the classes she has taught, she remains available as an on-going mentor for all of her students. She readily accepts phone calls with questions, additional information, etc. from former students, regardless of how long ago they may have taken her classes.
She has also acted as my personal mentor during my efforts to downsize from a three bedroom house into a one bedroom condo. She has good analytical skills and was able to critique the situation and relay to me in an easily understood manner what needed to be done, why it was necessary, and how to accomplish everything in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
Betty is detail oriented and has the organizational skills to manage projects from beginning to completion and still maintain good rapport with her clients.
